What does the registration fee cover?.... it covers the workshop expenses for the speakers and presenters. It doesn't cover your airfare or meals (except the Welcome Dinner). It also doesn't cover museum entrance fees so that you can be flexible with which sites, museums and galleries you choose to attend each afternoon.How do we get to the hotel from the airport?... in Florence, it is suggested to take a taxi to the Hotel Orto de' Medici. The fare won't be more than $20
What is the current exchange rate for the Euro?... you can check the latest exchange rate at http://www.xe.com/ucc/. Please remember the hotel rate is in Euros and will be 1253 Euros for a double room for 9 nights. The cost includes breakfast. The cost can be shared with a roommate.
How do we get around in Florence?... most of the time we will walk - so bring comfortable shoes! Taxis are always available for those who choose to take them.
How will we get to Venice?... we will take the train. The cost will be apx $165. We will leave in the morning around 8:30 am, spend about 7 hours in Venice and then return to Florence around 9:30 pm. The cost is not included in the workshop fee - and the trip is considered optional.
